Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This policy explains how TravelHub collects, uses, and protects information when you use this website. It is written in plain language to make practical expectations clear. If anything is unclear, contact us using the address shown at the bottom of this page.
What data we collect
TravelHub uses Google Analytics 4 for anonymised usage insights. This includes page-level usage trends, approximate geography, device category, browser family, and referrer context. We do not run behavioural advertising profiles and do not store personally identifying analytics records in our own application database.
We do not require account registration and do not ask for personal identifiers to browse pages. If you submit a traveller report, we store the data you submit for scoring purposes, such as airline, airport, bag details, and outcome. Optional free-text fields may be used in anonymized summaries.
Cookies
TravelHub uses GA4 first-party cookies only, including _ga and _ga_*. We do not use advertising, retargeting,
or third-party tracking cookies on TravelHub pages. Under this scope, no standalone cookie consent banner is currently required.
How data is used
Aggregate analytics is used to prioritize content maintenance and identify pages that need updates. Traveller submissions are used to refine strictness calculations and improve route-level reliability. We do not sell personal data and do not run behavioural ad targeting on TravelHub.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare for CDN and Pages hosting infrastructure (including EU data centre availability).
- Google Analytics 4 for anonymised usage data and aggregate reporting.
- Strapi self-hosted on Oracle Cloud ARM VM for content and operational data storage.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links. If you click and complete a qualifying purchase, TravelHub may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Editorial decisions are not determined by affiliate payouts, and data records are verified independently.
Your rights
If you submitted a report and want it removed, contact us with enough detail to locate the record. We aim to process legitimate removal requests promptly. If you believe we hold personal data unexpectedly, contact us and we will investigate and respond.
Data retention
GA4 data is retained for 14 months under the default configuration. TravelHub does not store server-side personal user profiles beyond anonymised aggregation outputs required for score maintenance and quality monitoring. Traveller reports remain in the operational dataset unless a valid deletion request is approved.
Under UK GDPR, you can request access, rectification, or erasure of data associated with your submissions. Submit requests through the disputes page. We respond within 30 days.
Policy changes
This page is updated when practices change. The date at the top indicates latest revision. We do not send direct notifications because we do not maintain subscriber email lists for general visitors.
